Antivirus

Antivirus, short for “anti-virus,” refers to a type of software or utility designed to detect, prevent, and remove malicious software, commonly known as malware, from computers and other devices. Malware includes viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware, adware, and other harmful software that can compromise the security and functionality of a computer system. 
It’s important to note that while antivirus software is a critical component of computer security, it’s not a silver bullet. Users should also practice safe computing habits, such as keeping their operating system and software updated, avoiding suspicious websites and email attachments, and using strong, unique passwords. Additionally, some advanced threats, such as zero-day exploits, may not be detected by traditional antivirus software.
